Presentation of the book Juego de pelota in Prague
Laura presented her book and the tradition of Juego de pelota at the Embassy of Mexico in the Czech Republic in Prague.

Before beginning her Mexico tour, Laura Elena Rodríguez Garcidueñas presented her new book, Juego de Pelota: Descubre sus secretos con La Catrina Bohemia, at the Embassy of Mexico in the Czech Republic in Prague.

The evening was also an opportunity to share the illustrations created for the book through a small exhibition of original artwork, giving guests a closer look at the visual world behind La Catrina Bohemia and the process of bringing the ancient ballgame to life through illustration.
The event was presented by Salvador Tinajero Esquivel, Head of Chancellery at the Embassy and responsible for political, cultural, and international cooperation affairs. His participation helped introduce the project and its connection to the promotion of Mexican culture abroad.

For Laura, presenting the book at the Mexican Embassy in Prague was particularly meaningful. The book was created from her experience of living in the Czech Republic while remaining deeply connected to Mexico and its traditions. It was also about to begin a new chapter: traveling to Mexico for a series of presentations in different cities.
The event brought together members of the Mexican community in Prague, as well as friends and people interested in Mexican culture. Their presence made the evening especially warm and gave Laura the opportunity to share the project with people who, like her, have Mexico as an important part of their lives while living abroad.

Juego de Pelota is the result of months of research, writing and illustration, but it is also part of a larger effort to make Mexican cultural heritage accessible to new generations. Through La Catrina Bohemia, the book invites young readers to discover the history of the Mesoamerican ballgame and to look at this ancient tradition with curiosity.
And now, the book was ready to travel.

Parangueo Media would like to thank Ambassador Ana Berenice Díaz Ceballos and the Embassy of Mexico in the Czech Republic for opening their doors to this presentation and exhibition, Salvador Tinajero Esquivel for presenting the event, and Monika Lorencová for her support in making the cultural program possible.
We are especially grateful to the Mexican community in Prague for joining us and sharing this special evening with us.
From Prague, Juego de Pelota was about to begin its journey through Mexico.
